Welcome to the
2nd Messenger Systems Wiki! We're interested in biomedical and scientific visualization,
among other things.
EditPheonixRT
PheonixRT is a radiotherapy inverse planning algorithm based on an information-theoretical optimization technique. A 2-dimensional prototype has been produced, initial results indicate that it can produces quality plans with a modest number of optimization iterations. A 3-dimensional prototype is also in the works, based on the
ITK library.
Features include:
- Beamlet weight optimization
- Prescription specified as a target DVH (no partial volume points)
- Each prescription term has an adjustable weight
EdittheWheel

theWheel navigating a music collection
theWheel is a tool for knowledge management and
knowledge visualization. It works with knowledge represented as interconnected pieces of information, known as graph-based models. This is the knowledge representation approach followed by the
Semantic Web, where knowledge is encoded as a graph consisting of nodes (representing resources), connected by annotated links (representing relationships among the resources).
Knowledge bases that can be represented this way include:
- A reaction pathway map for a signal transduction network
- A neural connectivity map
- A set of cross-referenced scientific papers
- A music collection
- A family tree
EditWarpTPS

Deformed Atlas
WarpTPS is a simple implementation of thin-plate spline deformable registration. The application allows entry of an arbitrary number of landmarks positioned on both images. It then deforms the target image so that the landmarks match their position on the source image.
